Nature Minds

A Positive Brain Health programme through Nature, Purpose and  Connection.

At Nature Minds, we believe it is never too early — and never too late — to support your brain health.

Positive brain health is built through everyday experiences: staying active, spending time in nature, connecting with others, eating well, learning, and giving your brain new challenges.

The best changes are enjoyable, social and realistic enough to become part of everyday life. You don’t have to change everything at once. Small, positive steps can build into lasting habits that support your brain, your confidence and your overall wellbeing.

Nature Minds is a one day a week, six week brain health programme, using nature, purposeful outdoor activity, social connection, problem solving, good food and friendship in a rural setting, to stimulate the mind and build brain confidence, to help people aged 60 plus stay active, connected, engaged and capable.
At the heart of everything we do is a simple belief that nature and purposeful activity, when experienced with others, helps us to thrive.

We support you to explore your potential, focus on your strengths, and engage with the world around you.
Our support is shaped around four core pillars designed to bring balance, growth, and joy to your life:

 Environment   +

(Enjoying the outdoors):
Nature has a powerful way of energising us.
We focus on getting outside, breathing in the fresh air, and enjoying the natural beauty of our space.

 Purposeful     +

(Actions with meaning):
Every day has value, and everything we do has a reason to be done.
We provide meaningful tasks that give can give you a sense of achievement and contribution.

 Activities       +

(Familiar and new):
Growth happens when we balance comfort with curiosity.
We provide new experiences to expand your thinking.

 Together

(Social connection and teamwork):
Life is better shared. Through group social activities and collaborative problem-solving, build strong connections, foster friendships, and tackle challenges as a team.
